Rayonier licenses exclusive hunting rights on
its land through an annual bidding process. Each tract of land is mapped
and individually designated as a
Recreational License Unit (RLU)
for identification purposes. A minimum price is assigned to each RLU based
on such factors as: number of acres, habitat quality, variety and number
of game species, presence of water, and proximity to population centers.
Properties available for license are shown on county-level maps,
according to state. Simply select a state from the
Available Areas
at left to begin searching for properties, and viewing topographical
maps.
Hunting and recreational access is generally licensed for a period of
one year to individuals and hunt clubs who agree to Rayonier’s Terms and
Conditions.
Those currently holding licenses with Rayonier have first
option to renew their agreement before it is offered for general
bidding.
